Ways to Give

Each and every day we hear the stories. From the mom of a child recently diagnosed with celiac disease to the person managing diabetes trying to make ends meet. For each of them, food is medicine - their prescription.

People with a diet-treated illness often see their grocery bills double. Everyday food items, like bread and milk, are now much more expensive. Many are left to make hard decisions - buy groceries or pay the electric bill. Or worse yet, eat food that they know may send them to the hospital.

This is where Food Equality Initiative comes in. Helping those at the intersection of food insecurity and a diet-related chronic diseases and conditions. Through our direct service and education programs, we help people get the nourishing foods they need.

We cannot do it without you.

I'm really liking the program! It's introducing me to healthy foods I hadn't known about before and adding them to my diet.
